Now I want a TIG...

I did a TIG welding course a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I welded a couple of braces onto my oil tank strap.

After using a TIG (even a cheapo, inverter rig) I now know how much easier and neater a TIG is for this sort of work.

Even though it's not as neat as I'd like its not actually that visible in situ.

Today I'm planning on nickle plating the oil tank strap and ultrasonic cleaning the card. This is the carb at the start of the process.

I'll post some pictures when it's done.
